In Mr. Gauvain's PE class, students will learn and develop both locomotor and non-locomotor movement skills. Jogging, running, leaping, galloping, skipping and sliding as well as countless other movements are the foundation to physical activity and help students to improve on various other specific skill sets. As students progress through elementary school and movements become more efficient, they will have the opportunity to utilize them in a non-competitive, instructional game setting where basic strategies and principals are built. I encourage and instill concepts of sportsmanship and sport ettiquette in a way that excites students for physical activity. Your children will be challenged to improve their fitness levels throughout the year using methods that are unique to each student and that are most importantly, FUN!
